Berkeley Free Clinic - Dental Section
2339 Durant Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94704
2019 Dental Volunteer Application
The Berkeley Free Clinic Dental Section is currently looking for energetic, committed individuals who are interested in participating in a collective, investing their time in strengthening the community, and expanding access to dental care. The Dental Section is one of the only truly free dental clinics in the country. We take our patients through a lottery system that is held for one week out of the month, and patients are then able to receive services for life.

Volunteers in the Dental Section must be very committed because the position is one of great responsibility. Our volunteers are trained to work as assistants to the dentists and hygienists who volunteer with us, and to do sterilization and some of the administrative and maintenance tasks required to run the clinic. We depend entirely on active, consistent participation of our volunteers to exist as a free clinic and to continue to provide vital services to our community. There are many volunteering requirements, which are listed below. Please carefully consider if you are able to fully make this commitment, and if you cannot, please do not apply. For those who can make this commitment, we appreciate your interest in joining us to help others in the community we serve.
