Career Navigator is a career mentoring programme. It is aimed at building strong connections between students (you!) and local business, providing a means to help you build your ‘ready-for-work’ skill-sets and provide you with real-world guidance to pathways beyond the school gate.
Over the course of the programme we'll go on a range of worksite visits across a bunch of industries to find out more about a whole lot of career pathways you might never have heard of before. We'll pair you with amazing business mentors to help you explore career pathways that are right for you. We'll take part in interactive workshops to build your skills, knowledge and confidence. We'll also work together on your CV, cover letters, and interview skills - to set you up for success. But that's really just the tip of the iceberg.
Career Navigator is great if you are engaged and motivated, but maybe lacking direction about a career pathway. We aim to help you in your decision making about future employment and also provide an effective platform for employers to share their real-world knowledge with you and offer mentoring and active learning opportunities.
Career Navigator is made available to eligible Year 12 and Year 13 students in Marlborough.
