Thank you for your interest in BobaTalks and your interest to help support students. Whether you're a seasoned advice giver, someone who wants to step into career help, or someone who genuinely just wants to help students, BobaTalks is open to mentors who want to help students. BobaMentors are a little special.
- There are no hourly commitments - mentor at your own availability!
- You have the conversations that you want to have with students.
- Our program is particularly ideal for mentors with no previous mentoring experience!
- Our mentorship is completely free and virtual to everyone - no monetization involved :D
What are the requirements to mentor with BobaTalks?
We look for mentors who come from all kinds of fields and all kinds of experience - and we ask that our mentors are folks who are able to have good and honest conversations with students in both career and a little bit of life.
- Primarily located in the US/Canada region.
- Fluent in English (we love bilingualism.)
- Familiar with Discord (where our community is based).
- Comfortable working with students.
Whether you've been giving advice for years or you are someone who just wants to make a difference for others, our program would love to have anyone who just wants to help. This sign up form should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
⭐⭐ IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR 2026 ⭐⭐
Historically, we have asked our mentors to have at least one year of experience in their endgame field. This rule was put in place to encourage new grads to live out their first year of corporate fully and wholeheartedly, and to not heed the burden of volunteering so early in their career.
For 2026, we will be waiving this rule and opening up mentor spots to students and new grads! We want to experiment and pilot a small cohort of student and new grad mentors, as wisdom and advice can come from many different places and backgrounds :)

BobaTalks is a community that helps students navigate the ambiguities of career development and personal development through consultations. What started as a passion project helping one or two students a week has scaled to over 100+ mentors and hundreds of students being helped.
