M&E, Communication & Outreach Officer

About the Position
ISAP is currently looking for a suitable candidate for M&E, Communication & Outreach Officer for PIWAAI who would be stationed in the central office, Thapathali with frequent travel to the project field. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project team and will be responsible for developing an appropriate M&E system for the organization, overseeing the implementation of the M&E system and disseminate data and reports internally and externally. S/he would also be responsible for communicating impact and activity to donors, partners, and other stakeholders. The person would be leading a team of two. S/he should have a master’s degree in social science and a relevant field with two years of prior experience in a related field.

Institution for Suitable Actions for Prosperity (ISAP) and Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) will be jointly implementing Project for Improving Water Access and Agriculture Income (PIWAAI) with funding from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan (MOFA) with a goal to improve the living standards of people affected by Nepal Earthquake 2015 by reducing the water fetching time through construction of water schemes and increase agriculture income through fresh vegetable production and marketing in Sindhupalchowk district. Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead the M &E team and ensure the smooth functioning of M&E system to supply with the information to project team
• Maintain information/databases on potential and actual donors
• Collect data and information needed for preparation of project documents and grant application
• Support project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress.
• Document and track innovative strategies/best practices/new approaches
• Develop reports & stories to show project progress and impact
• Timely update the social media and prepare content for the same
• Handle any other relevant duties as assigned by Program Manager

Required qualification and experience
• Master degree in social science, business management and any relevant subject with two years of prior experience in a
similar field
• Knowledge and understanding of project monitoring and evaluation and M&E systems in development organizations
• Good data collection, analysis skills with good command over report writing in both English and Nepali
• Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office
• Excellent teamwork including abilities to coordinate well with diverse individuals and teams to negotiate effectively with
colleagues and stakeholders to achieve results
• Must possess an ability to work independently with minimum work supervision
