The conference intends to educate and empower over 200 girls, grades 3-12, on a variety of topics that address health, wellness, leadership, character development, etc. YW3CA is seeking energizing and interactive presentations by dynamic professionals who share our passion for elevating girls.
Please consider joining our efforts to support girls and young women during this one day conference. All selected presenters will receive an honorarium within 30 days of the event.
Interested Leaders should submit presentation proposals that meet the following requirements:
- Age groups will be broken into the following categories: Grades 3-5; 6-7; 8-9; 10-12.- Four sessions will be offered through the day for each age group.- Sessions are 45 minutes in length, including 5 minutes for evaluation.- No Solicitation Policy: we appreciate your willingness to share time, expertise, and knowledge with conference participants, but request that you refrain from soliciting business during sessions.- There will be a 10 minute turn-over between sessions.- If the presentation requires handouts, leaders are responsible for providing the necessary copies for all sessions.- Many (but not all) rooms support vga and hdmi connections from PC’s and MAC’s. With a mac, a converter cable is typically needed.- As always, preparing documents saved on a flash drive to copy to MCCC computers as a back up is suggested.
To apply:1. Complete proposals are due by close of business on Friday, February 22, 2019. 2. All chosen leaders will be notified via email by Friday, March 1, 2019.
All those submitting proposals are requesting to present four times on Saturday, April 13, 2019, with breaks for lunch (included) and a Key Note presentation mid-day. If your work is specific to particular age groups, please indicate it in your proposal and consideration will be made for a modified schedule. Preference will be given to presenters offering sessions to all age groups.
Presenters are asked to plan to attend from 8:00 - 3:30 on this day.
We do request that Presenters help us promote & engage our community through social media. Information will be provided in regards to branding/messaging/hashtags, etc for sharing and we will gladly do the same for selected presenters.
