2018-19 JVS Young Professionals Board Application

Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) was established in 1949 to help Holocaust survivors, refugees, and those returning from WWII. Today we engage, encourage, and empower people to achieve social, cultural, and economic integration. We do this by helping refugees make Kansas City their new home and by helping people with disabilities find and maintain employment. JVS provides people the opportunities and support they need to become self-sufficient. Each year, we serve thousands of people in greater Kansas City.

The JVS Young Professionals Board (YPB) is a way for young leaders, ages 21-35, to get involved in the work of JVS. The goal of YPB is to create awareness of the work that JVS does; engage other young professionals and learn more about board leadership.

If you are selected, you will plan fundraising and volunteer events, engage other young professionals to learn and be a part of the work of JVS; develop your skills in board leadership; participate in Governing Board committees for the agency. YPB meets once a month and holds quarterly events. If you are interested in applying, please complete this form no later than August 3rd. You will be notified if you are selected by mid-August.

Send your resume to Malinda Kimmel at mkimmel@jvskc.org or contact with any questions.
