WildCare's Middle and High School Programs have three different themes to choose from! Choose from multiple NGSS-aligned themes with our Nature Van full of taxidermy, skeletons, bio-facts, and more or our amazing Live Ambassador Animals. 

Please note: Nature Van programs DO NOT include live animals. Live animals are included in the Wildlife Ambassador Programs. 

Wildlife in A Warming World (Nature Van) Students will review the basics of climate change before diving into the connections between climate change caused issues like drought, fires, and ocean acidification and California wildlife that are impacted by those issues.  

Wildlife in Peril (Nature Van) Students will learn of multiple ways humans are impacting local wildlife including bioaccumulation of pesticides, deforestation, invasive species, and overfishing. 

Biodiversity in Danger (Wildlife Ambassadors) Students will meet three of WildCare's Ambassador Animals and learn what anthropogenic issues are impacting their species in the wild. 

Fees:
Nature Van: $240 for 1st presentation, $170 for each additional presentation, $1 per mile travel fee ($10 minimum). 

Wildlife Ambassadors: $280 for the 1st presentation, $210 for the second presentation, $1 per mile travel fee ($10 minimum).

Upper Level Program Timing
Upper Level programs are designed to be presented in 60 minutes time slots to a class of 25 students (30 person maximum, including adults). This includes 5-10 minutes for students to get a closer look and touch the taxidermy animals and bio-facts at the end of each presentation.

Since you know your schedules best, we ask that you create a schedule that works for your class(es). 

Here are the requirements when creating a presentation schedule: 
  • at least 40 minutes for set up
  • 60 minute programs
  • minimum 5-10 minutes between programs, maximum 20 minutes 
  • lunch 30-60 minutes (not applicable for Wildlife Ambassador Programs with live animals)
  • 25 students per program (30 person max., including adults)
  • presentations held in same room
