Ample Movement Fun Ride
EVENTS COULD CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER, PLEASE KEEP CHECKING YOUR EMAIL FOR ANY UPDATES

We are working on seeing if we can get bikes to rent for folks who do not have a bike or a way to transport a bike to the park.

  • Please fill this form out if you are planning to ride. You will receive a confirmation email with an event waiver and a reminder email before the ride. Please check your SPAM or Promotions folder if you do not get anything before the event.
  • You will be responsible for getting yourself and your bike to the park. Unfortunately at this time we don't have ways to transport more bikes.
  • Helmets are required. Please don't ask for an exception.
  • Please bring water and a snack for yourself.
  • I will have a pump to fill your tires if needed.
  • The path is a paved designated bike and walking path that is fairly flat with a few gentle hills. Expect other people on bikes and walking.
  • Unfortunately at this time we don't have bikes to rent. I am working on finding an option.

Meeting time: 6:15 PM (we will start riding at 6:30 and be out for around 1 and 1/4 hours or so)

Meeting place: Please note, a change from the last meeting spot...
Camp Allegany on the Red House side. Here is a link to the Google map point.
Please note: cell service is very spotty in the park.

We will be riding around Red House lake with a little extra ride of about 1/2 mile from Camp Allegany. The whole ride will be around 3 miles. Here is the All Trails overview.

BIKE RIDE EXPECTATIONS
• This event centers brand new riders, riders coming back after a long time away and other people who have felt uncomfortable riding with other biking groups for whatever reason.
• This event centers fat and plus size people although all are welcome.
• All genders of riders are welcome.
• We will be riding between 5 and 10 mph. If you regularly ride much faster or riding at that speed is uncomfortable to you, maybe this isn't the right ride for you.
• We will be stopping often.
• We will be riding between 3 and 5 miles total.
• This is a social ride, not a ride to train or have a workout.
• No discussion of intentional weight loss, dieting or wellness lifestyles before, on or after the ride. This includes moralizing food choices. General talk about how to fuel our bodies for riding may happen on the ride.
• No "bike shaming" . All types and ages of bikes are welcome as long as they are safe to ride. If you're not sure if your bike is safe, bring it to your local bike shop for a tune up before the ride.
• Helmets are required.
