Are you looking for something productive to do this summer (2025)? CS@Mines faculty have a few openings for community college students and a few openings for high school students to participate in unpaid summer internships with CS@Mines. (NOTE: Unpaid internship is different from “volunteer” work. Internships may be paid or unpaid and are designed to provide interns with work experience related to their field of interest.)
Participating students may assist in a research team (e.g., artificial intelligence or cybersecurity), in outreach to K-8 students (e.g., virtual summer camps), and/or in a Computing for Good (C4G) project.
Internships are expected to begin ~June 1st and end ~August 6th (10 weeks). The time per week varies (and is, in general, flexible). Students must have a reliable computer and internet access.
Prior training in CS is not required. Interest in learning CS is required!
Priority will be given to students who apply by April 18, 2025. Application decisions will be made no later than May 15th.
