Engaging the LGBTQ+ Community – Give Out Day 2022
This virtual training on June 24th at 1pm will provide awareness of how to work to build stronger community relationships with and for LGBTQ+ people.

This training will provide participants knowledge of new, and emerging, aspects of the LGBTQ+ community using the gingerbread person concept on identify - what’s between the ears, between the legs, and in the heart. The goal of the training is to make it easier to become an ally for LGBTQ+ individuals and to better equip you in combating the politicization of queer people. You’ll learn how to walk the walk and talk the talk so you can better engage with this important and growing audience.

This training is ideal for business and government leaders, and other individuals who care about the LGBTQ+ community but often do not know key terminology and feel a bit nervous having conversations about important issues.

The trainer for this session is Dr. Todd Felts, APR, an associate professor of journalism in the Reynolds School at UNR.

All are welcome.

Please email Mary (mingvoldstad@nnhopes.org) with any questions.

The Give OUT Education Series is sponsored by EVERI.
