Application for American Flowers Week 2020 Botanical Installation
Slow Flowers is soliciting proposals from farmer-florist creative teams to produce Botanical Installations as part of American Flowers Week. We are thrilled and thankful you are interested in creating an installation for public enjoyment and education!
We welcome anyone who would like to participate to do so, however, encourage you to join Slow Flowers if you are not currently a member:
The theme for this year is Back to Nature. In the application below, you will be asked to submit a mood board or Pinterest board to express your concept. You will also be asked to write a description of your construction methods and mechanics, to ensure you can execute the design for photography and publication.
By submitting this application, you agree to:
> Schedule your installation to take place during American Flowers Week (June 28-July 4, 2020)
> Design and produce an installation created from as close to 100% American-grown flowers and foliage as possible
> Secure all permits or permissions necessary (location permission, etc.)
> Recruit a professional photographer to document your installation and provide copyright permission for publication
> Provide images to Slow Flowers by an agreed upon date for publication on SlowFlowersJournal.com, AmericanFlowersWeek.com, our Media Kit, and related social media during 2020-2021
> Provide at least 3 social media posts using @myslowflowers and #americanflowersweek
In exchange, Slow Flowers agrees to provide:
> Email/Zoom support from a Slow Flowers team member to secure a feature in your local media
> Sharing/publishing your business and installation on SlowFlowersJournal.com, AmericanFlowersWeek.com, our Media Kit, and related social media during 2020-2021
> Additional support, as needed
