Health Professionals' Advocacy Action Nights
These evenings are to support learners in more deeply applying legislative advocacy skills. Evening programs will be sponsored by faculty mentors. Workshop participants will together develop advocacy skills and identify legislative advocacy opportunities. At each session, participants will be given a shared health care advocacy challenge, including: writing opinion pieces, drafting position statements, meeting with elected officials, and organizing others around specific issues related to health and health care access. Co-mentorship is an important component of this fellowship, since many trainees and faculty members have different skills and experiences in advocacy.
Please indicate if you would like to be added to the mailing list announcing upcoming Advocacy Action Nights. They will primarily take one Sunday evening a month between 5 and 8 pm.
