2025 Conference Travel Grant and Dependent Caregiver Grant Application
The Association for Jewish Studies remains committed to supporting wide participation in its Annual Conference. In particular, the AJS seeks to support untenured faculty, graduate students, independent scholars without full-time employment, dependent caregivers needing care during the conference, and international scholars who receive little to no institutional support for conference attendance. All accepted presenters (Speakers, Respondents, Conveners, or Chairs) are eligible to apply.

The AJS thanks the following for their support in funding these grants:

The AJS Gender Justice Caucus
Anonymous Donors
Maurice Amado Foundation
American Society for Jewish Music
Michael H. Baker Family Foundation
Charles Knapp Family Foundation
Rice University Program in Jewish Studies
Leo Baeck Institute
American Jewish Historical Society
American Sefardi Federation
YIVO Institute for Jewish Research

While individuals can apply now, grants are conditioned on conference proposal acceptance. Funds will be disbursed on a first come, first served basis after acceptance notifications are released in July.
