Over the last few months, we have seen and read many conversations about patch Cycles, their content, and what content will be available in which game modes. We think involving the community in these conversations is very important and would love to know your thoughts!
For patch 1.1, we plan to add loads of new content to all game modes (Cycle Online, Legacy Online, Cycle Offline, and Legacy Offline) at the Cycle launch, but we are considering options for the new Pinnacle Boss.
The current plan is to have the Pinnacle Boss available only to new Cycle Online characters for a limited time, and then after a specific time/event, the boss will be released to all game modes. The goal of this plan is to help foster healthy and competitive event options for our community while also not removing content from game modes. With this hybrid approach, players who want to create competitive events centered around the Pinnacle Boss would be able to do so without worrying that the landscape would not be as inherently fair as possible.
An example of how this might work:
Patch 1.1 releases and all new content is patched to all game modes, with the exception of the new Pinnacle Boss, which is only available to new Cycle Online Characters. Once any character in Cycle Online has cleared the new Pinnacle Boss for the first time, it unlocks after a short delay for all players in all game modes.
