Stories in the Sky Sessions and Themes
Thank you for your interest in visiting the Balloon Museum! Please review the information below and on the following page to assist you in scheduling your field trip.

We offer two programs Every Wednesday for pre-k through first grade students, Stories in the Sky and Music in the Sky. Young visitors to the Balloon Museum will enjoy stories, music, and movement. Each week offers new excitement and learning and an opportunity to explore the Balloon Museum.
Each program has two sessions, and each session is followed by a craft activity. Visitors to Stories in the Sky and Music in the Sky will receive free admission to the museum and are invited to arrive before their session or stay after their session to tour the museum or enjoy the museum grounds. All tours are self-guided. Read below for more information on our two programs:

Stories in the Sky
Pre-K - First Grade
Every Wednesday - Session 1: 9:30, Session 2: 11:00
Group size capacity (including children and adults): ~60
FREE stories, songs, games, and crafts. Led by teacher and storyteller, Laurie Magovern who brings stories to life with her inviting and enchanting program. Different stories and activities are offered every week. Voted Best Story Time by Albuquerque the Magazine readers!

Music in the Sky
Pre-k - First Grade
Every Wednesday - Session 1: 12:30, Session 2: 1:30
Group size capacity (including children and adults): ~30
FREE music instruction and play with local musician and music educator, Maryse Lapierre. Students are invited to sing, dance, and work with musical instruments in a fun and inclusive setting. Maryse shares music from around the world in multiple languages while incorporating movement, singing, and group interaction.

In order to assure the best experience for your group and the general public who attend our programs, we do have a limit to the size of the groups that attend each of our programs. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. If your group is slightly larger than the capacity listed above (60 people for Stories in the Sky, 30 for Music in the Sky), just let us know and we may still be able to accommodate you.
Groups should provide at least one adult chaperone for every ten students.

PLEASE NOTE: The Balloon Museum does not host field trips during the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
