[Webinar] Hope-based communications: How to talk about Europe
9 October - 2pm (CET)
Speaker: Thomas Coombes
In this webinar, Thomas Coombes, founder of hope-based communications, will present findings from audience research, neuroscience and cognitive linguistics that show why we need to think more carefully about the words we use and the stories we tell, and how they resonate with the people we speak with.
During the webinar you will learn:
— How to shift the way you talk – from what you are against to what you are for;
— How to set the agenda with a solutions-based message rather than constantly reacting to external events;
— How to apply value-based messaging in your daily work.
Thomas will also present examples that show how we can use framing and narrative to counter populist narratives, and invite a discussion with participants about how we can make the case for Europe in an age of populism.
