Accelerating Research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Meeting

https://bit.ly/2WmJ5KD#MEAction is providing the opportunity for two promising medical students (MD, DO, NP, RN, PA) and two practicing medical providers (MD, DO, NP, or PA) in the United States to attend the National Institutes of Health (NIH) meeting on ME research (Accelerating Research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), April 4th-5th, 2019 in Bethesda, MD . #MEAction’s sponsorship includes affordable travel and lodging. Registration is free for the conference. Visit the NIH event page to view the agenda, speakers, and current registrants. Funding for the travel scholarship is provided by a family foundation and will be awarded to the most qualified applicants based on application review. The purpose of the scholarship is to build medical provider capacity to care for people with ME/CFS in the United States.

If you are chosen as a recipient, part of your responsibility will be to 1) register for the conference and attend the entire two days 2) attend a dinner with #MEAction staff and volunteers on the first evening of the conference and 3) document your experiences (ie pictures, write blog) so that #MEAction can promote the benefits of attendance to others via #MEAction social media and website.
Eligibility: (1) student attending medical, nursing, or physician assistant school in the United States with an interest in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. The student must currently be enrolled in school. (2) practicing medical provider (MD, DO, NP, or PA) in the the United States with an interest in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. The applicant must currently be practicing medicine and seeing patients. The person can not be retired.
