**If this is an urgent request, please contact the shelter via email or call us at (319) 653-6713 between 12pm and 4pm, Tuesday-Sunday. An urgent request is an animal in high need of placement within a few days time. 

**Before we take in any animal, we require that you try to rehome on your own using our Rehoming Recourses for at least two weeks, or as long as possible. In order for your animal to be courtesy posted on our Facebook page, please make a Facebook post on your page, set the privacy settings to public, and copy and share the link to us via Facebook messenger. We will review your post and share in accordance with our Facebook policies.

**Attention**
If your animal is a known danger to your household or the community, we recommend consulting your veterinarian regarding behavioral euthanasia. We are unable to take or help rehome aggressive animals.
