Thanks for your interest in coming to paddle with Three River Serpents Dragonboat Club. Some key info is provided below, followed by a list of questions which we need you to respond to before coming along. Please read everything carefully. We are located at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, off Green Lane, DH1 3JU. We meet at the first boathouse, on the right, just before the main rowing club (you will see private parking signs, so suggest parking just to the left, on the University track which runs parallel). We train Sunday mornings 9.45am. Also Weds eves 5.45pm for small boats, but we ask that you complete initial sessions on Sundays with our whole crew. We suggest wearing old kit that you don't mind getting wet, waterproof top minimum, in poor weather. Layers are good! Bring a change of clothes (just in case), water, snack for afterwards. We offer two free taster sessions, to see if you like it. Thereafter, we ask paddlers to join our club, to continue paddling. Fees are £144 per year or £72 for unwaged/low income. Single payment or monthly by direct debit. We will point you to our Treasurer if you decide to join.
The information that you provide in this form will be made available only to the Club Secretary, Membership Secretary and Coaches. We may use part of this information if you choose to join and require membership of the British Dragonboat Association, but this would be discussed with you beforehand. Otherwise, your data will not be used for any purpose other than planning your initial session(s) with us.
It will take up to 3 weeks for us to respond to your form submission. This is because we are volunteers, and also may be involved in race preparations at key points during the year which are not suitable for new paddlers.
