Youth Strings Program Sign Up
Please complete this form to sign up your student for the Youth Strings Program sponsored by the Southwest Washington Symphony. The group classes are designed for 4th and 5th graders and meets Mondays at 4:30pm (beginners) or 5:30pm (some experience) in person at Monticello Middle School in Longview, Washington. Limit 10 students per session.  More sessions may be added to accommodate more students. The Fall 2024 Session starting date is 9/30/24 and it ends on 11/25/24.  Please have an instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass), Suzuki Volume 1, and folding music stand by that date. Please note, part of the Suzuki method is that parents/guardians are asked to stay and observe the lessons.  Please email  radavis1111@me.com if you have any schedule conflicts.

Briefly describe any previous musical experience.
Instrument cost can vary.  A rental can be $10-$100 per month depending on the instrument and where you rent from.  Considering that the classes are free, we ask that students secure their own instrument.  We don’t want cost to be a limiting factor, though.  Do you need financial assistance to get the instrument of your choice?
