Volunteer Registration for the 2019 Somerville Schools 'Hour of Code'
We need your help volunteering with the 'Hour of Code' in the Somerville Public Schools! We're proud to be one of a select few school districts in the United States to have every student participate in this event. That means over 4,500 students will experience the thrill of learning computer programming and discover ways computer sciences and technology can change lives.
As a volunteer, you'll be working with teachers in our computer labs to help students complete online Code.org tutorials set up for this event. You'll be volunteering with other parents, community partners, and professionals who share a passion for computer science. Last year, we had volunteers from some of the best technology companies on the planet--Google, Microsoft, Pegasystems, Winter Wyman, Hubspot, and Amazon, to name a few! No computer expertise necessary, you may select any school or be matched with a school as needed, one hour or more as you're able.
The 'Hour of Code' will be held the week of December 9-13, 2019. Please register by completing this form below:
