Cancellation deadline is 7 days prior to event date. The deposit is non-refundable after cancellation deadline.
Deposit is due at the time of approval and confirmation by the CFD Director in order to hold your space. Full payment is due 14 days prior to the event date. If the funds are not received at the designated time, the space may be rented out to the next available request.
A deposit of $200 is required with each contract. This deposit will be returned within 15 days after your reservation if contract rules are met and no damage occurs to the building or grounds. If your reservation is cancelled, $100 of the deposit will not be refunded. No refund will be made if your reservation is cancelled within two weeks of the event. Additional funds may be accessed if damages exceed the $200 deposit.
Please have all materials and furnishings out of the building after the conclusion of your contract time
Please use only dripless candles in the facility.
Please make sure host, caterer, and florist work within the scheduled reservation party.
A CFD, Inc. representative will be present during the time the building is available for your use, from initial setup to final cleanup.
The caterer for your event is selected by and works for the reservation party.
The reservation party is responsible for cleaning the building (i.e. cleaning kitchen, taking garbage outside) and grounds following the event (UNLESS after-event cleanup is purchased from the CFD, Inc. See #14) After you have completed the cleanup, a CFD, Inc. representative will perform a walk through.
A stove is available for warming only. Please do not plan to cook in the kitchen. A microwave, and refrigerator are available also.
The CFD, Inc. does not have an alcohol license. And, ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED in or on the premises.
Except for seminar tables and chairs and related equipment, no furnishing (including pictures) may be rearranged without prior permission.
Please do not tape decorations to the walls or furniture.
Absolutely NO SMOKING or fires, except dripless candles, are allowed in the CFD T. Vaughn Walker building.
Please make sure that children are supervised.
There is after-event cleaning available for an additional $150.00. This fee is optional.
Full payment must be received no later than two (2) weeks prior to your reservation.
Additional hours are available (if scheduling permits) at $75 per hour.
Please provide your vendors (caterer, florist, photographer, etc.) with a copy of these rules.
No loitering in the parking lot.
By signing below, I hereby accept full responsibility for this event and actions of guests and indemnify the First Gethsemane CFD, Inc., the First Gethsemane Baptist Church, their directors, employees and volunteers of any liability for this event or actions of event guests.
