Request to be contacted by an advocate using this form.
Victim Advocates are members of the Albion College community who have been trained to offer support, advocacy, information, and referrals exclusively to current Albion College students, faculty, and staff who are victims of a violent crime. You may be unsure of whether or not you meet that criteria, but do not let that deter you from seeking services; our advocates will help you make sense of what happened and get you to the right place. All services are free and do not require health insurance.
Advocates are trained to maintain confidentiality, meaning that they will not disclose information about a client without written permission, except in instances where the client is an imminent and violent threat toward themselves or others, or the client discloses information related to the abuse of a child or vulnerable adult (in which case the proper authorities will be notified so that help can be provided). Speaking with an advocate does not mean that you are obligated to make a report to the Title IX office, Campus Safety, or Albion Public Safety.
All scheduled appointments will be with Lisa Winchell-Caldwell, Director of the Anna Howard Shaw Center for Gender Equity/Victim Advocacy.
[This form is NOT for emergencies. For emergencies, please contact Campus Safety immediately]
