Charleston Southern University: COVID-19 Student Emergency Care Fund
The COVID-19 student emergency care fund was implemented to provide additional assistance to those students who have immediate financial needs for food, housing, medicine, and other needs the student care committee deems appropriate. This is not for tuition or future classes.

UPDATE 6/30: We continue to have a high volume of applications. Due to the number of requests and limited funding, if you received Phase I of the Federal CARES Act grant funding or are eligible to apply for the Federal CARES Act Grant funding, your application will not be considered a priority. Please read policies for qualification of the CARES Act Grant funding:
Applying for CARES Act Funding. MUST READ POLICY FIRST, not everyone qualifies.
1. Student will sign into MyCSU
2. Go to the Financial Aid tab located at the top
3. Click on CARES Act Grant hyperlink located at the bottom of the Financial Aid Page
4. Student has to acknowledge read receipt of the CSU CARES Act Policy
5. Maximum amount student can apply for is $1,100
6. Student will enter reason for applying
7. Student initials and submits form
