Focused on the security hardening the highly technical design of streaming end devices, including design, protocols, DRM, etc.

Anomalous Streaming Devices (ASDWG)

Focused on the detection and analysis of streaming devices and infrastructure that is being abused, hacked, pirated, etc.

CDN Leaching/Abuse (CDNWG)

CHAIR: Mark Nakano, Warner

Focused on the current trends of bad guys accessing/pirating content directly from CDN systems, including developing Best Practices to advise CDN Operators on how to harden their solutions.

Copyright & Licensing (CLWG)

CO-CHAIRS: Cyril Abdi, Disney/Nick Matlach, ioLiberum

Focused on better securing the supply chain ecosystem between content developers/owners and supply chain that develops consumer products from this content IP.  Includes Best Practices suggested and expected from partners in this ecosystem.

Fraud & Abuse Prevention (FAPWG)

CHAIR: Richard Atkinson, CDSA

Focused on how to detect, respond, and ultimately prevent various forms of fraud/abuse/piracy.  Includes all forms of fraud experienced by M&E companies (and their customers), types of abuse by customers and marginal bad guys, and types of tools, analysis, processes used by bad guys and good guys.

ISAC/InfoSec (ISACWG)

CHAIR: Chris Taylor, CDSA

Focused on the whole InfoSec area of security, plus the function of the ISAC that links Industry and Government bi-directionally in terms of risks, alerts, communications.  Also includes the Cyware platform and other tools.

Production Security (PSWG)

CHAIR: Shira Harrison, Amblin

Initially focused on the development of a universal Production Manual template published in secure Wiki that is linked to key security policies and controls.

Production Crew ID

CHAIR: Ben Schofield, CDSA

Initially focused on establishing a separate identity provision for production crew and 3rd party vendors federated to studio core and vendor identity for the industry.

Cloud Ops & Security (new)    

CHAIR: Toby Scales, Google Cloud

Blockchain (new)

Focused on understanding Blockchain-based architectures, security, and solutions for applications across M&E and broader, and to develop recommendations and Best Practices to leverage the opportunities and mitigate the risks they represent.
