Who can apply:
Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls SD welcomes girls, trans, and gender nonconforming participants ages 8 to 17 who wants to rock out and feel empowered.

While our programming is guided by the experiences of girls and women, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports and welcomes a wide range of marginalized gender identities and expressions.

There is no musical experience necessary and all instruments are provided for camp.

The policy and intent of the Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls is to provide equal opportunity for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, marital status, political affiliation, sex, status with regard to public assistance, disability, age, veteran status, and any other status protected under federal, state, or local laws. We promote respect and do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discriminatory behavior or expression.

How do you assign instruments?
Applications for instrument preference is first come, first served. Your tuition must also be paid in full to be qualified for first come, first served. If your first choice of instrument is full, we will attempt to place you in your second or third choice or on the waiting list for your first.

NEW!! Band Formation Lotto
In support of inclusion and with the intent to provide equal opportunity we have changed our band formation process at camp. Camper will now form bands by drawing names from a hat to form a full band.  We hope this will encourage the campers to form new friendships and collaborations.
Third Party Transportation Services Policy
Many third party transportation services such as Uber or Lyft may not legal transport any individual under 18 years of age that is unaccompanied by someone 18 years old or older. Therefore, for the safety and welfare of your child, and since all youth that attend camp are under 18 years of age it is our policy that we will not be released any camper to travel via third party transportation that is not accompanied by an adult. This adult must be someone you have specified as an adult you allow to pick up your child from our camp through our PICK-UP PERMISSIONS form.
Do you want to volunteer, too?
We happily welcome parents that want to support camp. We have volunteer positions for musicians as well as non-musicians. Mentors that work directly with the campers must be female, but we offer other roles as well for male volunteers. For more information on volunteering go to: (link here)
