Train your Brain Survey (Short)
Project:

Train your Brain consists of three parts: (1) soft skills, (2) coding skills and (3) video tutorials of coding for teachers. This survey consists of questions regarding exactly these three parts, thus we would like to know your impressions and feelings towards the material created by the Train your Brain (TyB) consortium for the purposes of the project.

Below you can find some more details regarding the skills that TyB targets.

(1) Soft skills toolbox aims to enhance social interaction, self awareness, communication skills, creativity or work ethics---only to name a few. This TyB tool is designed to be used online, in a remote environment (even if all the methods apply in face-to-face classroom context as well) and consists of 6+10 different ideas. An example is given below as an image.

(2) Coding skills toolbox consists totally of 24 lectures in which 6 hours address elementary Scratch programming needs and the rest (18 lectures) target introduction to Python. The Scratch part consists of a hands-on introduction to Scratch and creation of two sample games. However, the videos describe the creation of more popular games, if teacher or pupils get inspired and they have spare time. The Python part starts with the introduction to Python programming and the details are given in the videos. Also Python is used in game programming, and most of the Python part consists of creating simple games. An example of tutorial is given as an image.

(3) Video tutorials of coding for teachers. Train your Brain consists of about 14x2 videos. They include all the necessary information for teachers to start up their journey with Scratch and Python, but include a lot of extra material for game coding in Scratch. It is designed to give more freedom for the teachers with the pupils that already basic knowledge as per part 2. Every topic consists of two (2) videos: the short one (about 1min 30 sec) and a longer one (about 10 minutes), so that, if in a hurry, teachers can quickly rely on the details from the short video but while preparing the class, they might feel the need to watch and follow the longer video. Example of the videos are
- short
- long
