Student Government Association Spring 2018 Student Initiatives
The initiative must include three parts: background, statement of the initiative, and a plan of action.
1) The background section is needed so students can formulate an educated opinion on the issue.
2) The statement of the initiative is what the students will be voting on (a single sentence will suffice). This section must be formatted in such a way that students can vote for or against the statement.
3) The plan of action is a guide to how this initiative can actually be enacted. If you would like an example of a proposal, please email

Student initiatives in the format just described are due on Thursday, January 25th at 12:00 PM.
If you plan to submit a student initiative, please plan on meeting with the StiFund committee to review your initiative(s) before the campus-wide election. After the committee's approval, writers of the student initiative must also collect 100 signatures to get the initiative on the ballot.
