In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in anticipation of future similar occurrences, many graduate students and scientists expressed their desire to assist the public by using their technical skills to increase the capacity of COVID-19 testing. With this in mind we are conducting a study to assess the interest and abilities of Madison, Wisconsin's large biomedical scientist population in an emergency response situation.
At this time, we are not asking for any compensation, only to volunteer our time.
FILLING THIS OUT IS IN NO WAY A BINDING DOCUMENT.
We are still working on how this would be organized, but want to have a list of volunteers ready to go if needed. We want to emphasize that we do not currently have an active plan in the works to join testing efforts, and a response to this survey is NOT a binding commitment. If officials determine that our services can be of use in the coming weeks, we will be in touch. This survey is administered by Nicole Piscopo (
npiscopo@wisc.edu) and Katie Mueller (
kmueller22@wisc.edu), two graduate students at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. We will contact you via email before sharing any identifiable information that you have shared here. Thank you for your consideration!
