Badminton is an Olympic, Paralympic, and Commonwealth Games sport. The Australia Para-Badminton International and Oceania Para-Badminton Championships are the first ever international badminton events for athletes with a disability in the Oceania region from 20 - 28 November 2018. The events will be held at the Leisuretime Centre, in the CITY OF GREATER GEELONG (Victoria, Australia). The events will welcome over 150 athletes, team officials, event administrators, and volunteers from all around the world.
Volunteers play an important part to an event's success - Badminton Australia is now inviting volunteer registrations! Preference for positions will be given to people who are the most flexible in the roles and times they can assist. People will be allocated to roles based on their skills, experience and information provided. Shift times will vary according to the role being performed and the final event schedule. Volunteer roles may require people to be on-site around 30-60 minutes prior to the session start time.
All volunteer applications will be considered. An application does not guarantee a position. Please note out-of-town volunteers are not funded and must arrange their own transport and accommodation. For more information or description of available roles and shift times, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
