KMSPKS Green Ambassador Volunteers   光明山普觉禅寺环保志工
We are looking for more volunteers. The aim of Green Ambassador is to have spiritual cultivation while purifying our earth. For the Recycling Sorting Centre, welfare will be provided for the volunteers, mindfulness will be practiced in sorting and education of Buddhism and Environmentalism will be given to all.
So do come to help out and bring your friends along!

We are opening a full time thrift shop, seven days a week and require volunteers to help commit to at least one day per week on a long term basis. It's not compulsory to come every week if there is enough people. Time for thrift shop: 10am-3pm, volunteer timing: 9:30am-3:30pm for setting up and closing. Vegetarian lunch provided. If you cannot commit to long term weekly volunteering, tick only "I wish to help out in sorting." Duties include: Setting up/ Closing, ensure that no one steals items, record of items sold and price, gift wrapping/ giving recycled bags for items sold. Duties do not involve cashier.

We have enough people for Tuesdays, and severe lack of people on Saturdays. Please choose accordingly. Sorting timing: 9am-4pm. Free to come and go anytime. Lunch at 11:30am-12:30pm. Duties: sorting of recyclable items: papers, metal, glass, etc...; sorting of books and clothes and more stuffs for sale or for recycling; pricing of thrift shop items; rearranging to make the place neat; replacing of thrift shop items when depleted; taking care of each other.
