Green Building United (GBU) is accepting applicants for the Energize Delaware Pathways to Green Schools Program, renewed for an twelfth year thanks to the continued support of Energize Delaware.
The Pathways to Green Schools Program provides building energy assessments to help schools identify how they can lower their energy costs and be more energy efficient. We can also help you find funding to implement the recommendations that are found through these energy assessments. The same engineers who perform these assessments can organize a grade(s) specific "energy expo" to help educate your students on many aspects of energy. The program includes a mini grant opportunity (up to $6000) to support students, teachers and school clubs with projects related to energy efficiency and sustainability, including outdoor spaces which opens in the fall. We work closely with the National Wildlife Federation and support schools involvement with their Eco-Schools and Schoolyard Habitat programs. We also support schools who are working towards national recognition through Eco-Schools USA and the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools award and hold workshops throughout the year for "clock hours" and to nurture our teachers and school staff.
Please fill out the questionnaire below and reach out if you need any support completing the form. We want to make this an easy process for you and are happy to help you get started on your sustainability projects for your school!
