Youth Resources strives to empower youth to make a positive difference within our society through understanding and action based on effective and compassionate leadership and civic engagement. As a part of that mission, we love to recognize the youth in our community who are impacting their schools and organizations with volunteerism, leadership and service to others. To honor those students, Youth Resources will name a Youth of the Month based off the recommendations of adults in the community.

Students ages 5-18 are eligible for nomination. Members of Youth Resources’ staff will review nominations and submit them to YR's board of directors for a vote. Winners will be announced on the first Monday of the first full week of each month. Nominations are due by the 25th of each month. (We know there are so many students doing great things in our community, so if your student is not chosen, feel free to submit them again in another month.)  

To nominate a student for Youth Resources’ Youth of the Month, please answer the questions below and email a photo of the nominee to jessie@youth-resources.org. Please include as much detail and description as possible.

Youth Resources’ Youth of the Month winners will be recognized on YR’s social media channels.

Youth of the Month winners will also automatically be included on Youth Resources' 2018-19 Youth of the Year ballot. YR names its Youth of the Year at its annual Hall of Fame Celebration.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are a family member of a student, we encourage you to ask someone outside of the family to nominate your student - a teacher, coach, youth pastor, mentor, etc. - ESPECIALLY someone who can detail SPECIFIC instances in which this student has served and led others. That being said, family nominations will always be accepted and do not receive any less attention from YR's board of directors as they compile their scores.
