The fall Wilde Lake CARES Bird Walk will take place Sunday, September 22, 8:00 am. This activity is limited to 15 registrations. Our guest birder is Kurt Schwarz, Member and Maryland Ornithological Society's former Conservation Chair.
We will meet by the Wilde Lake dock and walk around the lake to seek migrating warblers and
other songbirds. There is also the chance of ducks. On the September 18, 2022 walk, we
found rare Anhingas, a species typical of Florida. And the resident Black-crowned Night Herons
(see photo) could still be present.
Parking is in the main Wilde Lake Park parking lot on Hyla Brook Road.
