Celebrating 5 Years of the Transformative Learning Hub on 7 March 2025! Submit your contribution here by 30 January 2025

Dear Transformative Scholars and Practitioners,

Over the past five years, the Transformative Learning Hub has been a vibrant space for connection, collaboration, and exploration. Together, we’ve explored new ways of thinking, teaching, and doing research that ripple out into our work and communities.

To mark this incredible milestone, we’re thrilled to invite YOU—our community of transformative scholars and practitioners—to a special gathering where your insights, experiences, and creativity will take center stage.

When & Where:

📅 Friday, 7 March 2025 from 9:30-17:00
📍 Wageningen University campus [exact building/rooms TBC]

Why You Should Be There:
You’ve honed powerful tools and methods by participating in the following:
  • TPAR: Transformative & Participatory Qualitative Research Approaches & Methods PhD course with Anke de Vrieze & Meghann Ormond (2021-Present)

  • ‘Transformative Online Learning: Building & Facilitating Nurturing Learning Environments’ training with Neža Krek (2020 & 2022)

  • Transformative Learning Hub @ WUR activities and workshops (2020-Present)

Now, it’s time to showcase the impact of your learning, connect with like-minded scholars and practitioners, and spark fresh ideas for the future of transformative education and research.

How You Can Contribute:

Share how you’ve been applying what you’ve gained by contributing in one (or more!) of the following ways:
🎨 Exhibition Pieces: Photos, videos, publications, games, posters, or creative works.
🧠 Discussion Topics: Ideas you’d like to dive into with fellow participants.
💡 Interactive Workshops or Experiences: Prototype a new approach or concept.
🤔 Dilemmas for Peer Feedback: Present challenges and get input from the community.
…or anything else that reflects your transformative journey!

What’s in it for You?
  • Build Connections: Engage with an inspiring network of transformative scholars and practitioners.

  • Share Your Work: Showcase your projects and get valuable feedback. (Progress, not perfection!)

How to Contribute:

Submit the following by 30 January 2025 via this online form below:

  • Your name and contact info

  • A brief bio

  • A description of your desired contribution(s) to the event (What? Why? How?) and indication of the kind of space you’d need and desired min./max. number of participants. Note: We will have 4 parallel session blocks: 2 long session blocks (90 minutes each) and 2 short session blocks (45 minutes each). We will also have an exhibition space for work you'd like to feature. You are responsible for bringing any materials necessary for your session/exhibit.

Don’t miss the chance to reconnect, celebrate, and explore together! We can’t wait to see how far we’ve all come—and where we’ll go next.

Warm regards,
Meghann and Anke from the Transformative Learning Hub Team
