NCPAPA's 2018 Fall Symposium Break Out Session Proposal
The North Carolina Principals and Assistant Principal's Association is seeking teams of school or school district leaders to present breakout sessions at the 2018 Fall Instructional Symposium, featuring Eric Jensen, Tara Brown, and Michael Bonner to be held November 15-16, 2018 at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst, NC. Those responsible for providing instructional leadership in schools and school districts comprise the primary audience.

Proposal submission deadline: August 17, 2018

PRESENTATION CRITERIA
To be considered for inclusion in the symposium, proposals for Breakout Sessions should relate to the 2018 Symposium theme of “Engaging ALL Students with Poverty and Equity in Mind” and spotlight transformational programs or initiatives that have yielded positive student results. Topics of interest include efforts to improve student achievement for all students through the use of best instructional practices, efforts to improve school culture, efforts to promote greater student and/or teacher leadership, or other practices that have resulted in improved learning outcomes. Preference will be given to proposals that share success stories that are supported by data.

Breakout sessions will be presented during the November 15-16, 2018 Fall Instructional Symposium. All breakout sessions will be 50 minutes and presenters should prepare for 30-40 session attendees.

PROCESS FOR SUBMITTING A BREAKOUT SESSION PROPOSAL
To be considered as a presenter for participation in the 2018 Fall Instructional Symposium, please provide a brief description of your session and complete this form by August 17, 2018.

In addition, all school personnel who will be members of the presentation team must register to attend the conference. If selected a discounted registration fee of $259 will be applied by NCPAPA. (Discount fee limited to teams of 4)

Final selection of presentations will be made by August 31, 2018. Upon selection, contact persons will be notified immediately to confirm participation, and their registration will be handled by NCPAPA Program Coordinator, Jamie Woodlief.
