Music Submission for Chillits 2025, Sept. 12-14


Want to play Chillits 2025? Is there someone else who should play Chillits 2025? Let us know via this form.  Deadline for 2025 submissions is Sunday May 11th, at 11:59 PM.  The campout will be September 12-15, near Laytonville in Mendocino County.

After all music submissions are received, out-of-state musical acts will hear back no later than June 1st (hopefully sooner if you submit earlier!). Local musical acts will hear back by June 15th. 

Chillits is an all-volunteer campout. With a few exceptions, artists who are invited to play will be responsible for purchasing their own ticket.

Guidelines:
  • Samples should be no less than 20 minutes (but longer is preferred), and MUST be a link on a streaming platform (Mixcloud, YouTube, Vimeo, Bandcamp and/or SoundCloud). Please no links to downloads.
  • Submit a music sample that reflects the kind of set you are interested in playing. For reference, daytime sets can have beats or be rhythmic but should not be overtly dancey. Evening music leans more downtempo and then transitions to beatless, deep ambient from around 1AM til 8AM or so.
  • Again, please submit a sample that is true to the kind of set you want to play. We want to avoid the scenario where you submit a pure ambient set, get booked for a 3AM slot, and then decide to play funk and soul (save that for daytime!).
  • ** We have a very limited number of slots for AV sets. ** Please indicate your interest in an AV set in the comments. Applicants interested in doing an AV set must submit a proof of concept video for both visuals and music. 
  • Remember, chill takes many forms.
