SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. Applicant must be a member of Metco Credit Union (have an account in their own name) and the account must have been opened at least 90 days prior to the application deadline.2. Applicant must be entering or attending a vocational, technical, community college or 4-year University in the fall of 2019. 3. Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. 4. Past scholarship recipients are not eligible.5. Applicant is required to write an essay of 300-500 words on the following topic:
"Most young people are vastly under-educated when it comes to financial literacy, but credit unions struggle to find interesting and compelling ways to provide that education. If we hired you to create a financial literacy campaign, what would you include and how would you distribute the information to people your age?"

All information given on this application will be kept confidential. Scholarship recipients will be chosen by an independent committee and announced by April 20, 2019. Scholarship winners must agree to have their acceptance photo taken, or submit a photo to be used for various print and electronic media.
This application must be submitted no later than March 31, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. in order to be considered for the scholarship. Recipients of scholarships will be notified by phone or mail.
