IDOG Rescue was created in 2006 as a rescue dedicated to the protection of Labradoodles and Goldendoodles. Over the decades IDOG has accepted and successfully adopted out other types of Standard Poodle/Doodle mixes. There are certain Doodle mixes, however, that we do not feel are a good fit for IDOG Rescue and we are unable to assist in rehoming these types of mixes: Giant, Guardian, Livestock Guardian and Working Breed Doodle mixes such as Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Doberman, Husky, and St. Bernard mixes.

If you have a Doodle mix and are unsure if IDOG can assist you with rehoming your dog you can email us at rehome@idogdoodlerescue.org to inquire as to whether we are able to assist you before completing our Rehome Request Form.

IDOG Rescue has many wonderful foster homes in many states throughout the U.S.. Our ability to help rehome your dog will be dependent upon the availability of an appropriate foster home for your dog. If we are able to find an appropriate foster family for your dog’s specific needs, you will need to be willing to transport your dog to an available foster home.
