PACAC Camp College 2019 Mentor Application
PACAC Camp College is a residential experience exposing rising high school juniors and seniors to a comprehensive college prep curriculum over the course of three days and two nights. During the program students are immersed in an array of meaningful experiences to expose them to the nuances of the college selection and application process, including but not limited to: Scholarships and financial aid, dorm life, meeting admissions representatives, using your school counselor effectively, etc.

Camp College 2019 has two locations to serve students from across Pennsylvania. Each site is limited to 60 eligible students:

 Camp College West- Chatham University- Eden Hall Campus- July 16 (Arrive by 8am) -18 (Depart by 6pm)
 Camp College East- Cabrini University- July 30 (Arrive by 8am) -August 1 (Depart by 6pm)

The program is designed to assist students who have limited access to college culture, but with the desire to attain a postsecondary degree. Throughout the program there will be many large and small group sessions facilitated by Mentors with a passion for college access for all. Mentors will drive the success of the program, acting as a primary hub for student questions, session/workshop facilitator, and general chaperone.

Mentor Responsibilities
Being a Camp College Mentor is a challenging and rewarding experience. Think summer camp mixed with college access coaching. Although much is asked of Mentors, they are the heart and soul of the Camp College experience. They develop strong bonds with students, often providing life-changing advice and guidance.

Camp College mentors are expected to:

 Commit to at least one Camp College location that is accessible for them (either East or West).
 Stay for the entirety of the program, including overnight in the residence halls. (Mentors are given a single room).
 Participate in Mentor training.
 Lead small group sessions and discussions throughout the duration of the program.
 Supervise students during all events (this includes daily large group general sessions and small group meetings).
 Ensure that students are attending the selected workshops and remain on schedule.
 Monitor student activity in residence halls.
 And many more fun duties as assigned!

Please complete all the necessary sections by the above date. We will contact Mentor applicants on a rolling basis to confirm the receipt of their application, as well as their status as a Mentor.
