Thank you for your interest in being a Micros coach! Our Micros division is a critical starting point for our league and softball across our community. It is a place for building the foundations of softball success: teamwork, skills, and fun!
Applications will be accepted through 19 January. Responses will provided be no later than 31 January.
The criteria for choosing Micros coaches is (in order of priority):
- Availability (not including Saturday HS game conflicts)
- Previous positive experience coaching ABGSL Micros
- Previous positive ABGSL coaching experience (particularly for Younger Division)
- Previous positive non-ABGSL softball coaching experience (particularly for players K-3rd)
- Previous positive non-softball coaching/teaching experience for K-1st graders
- Previous positive umpiring experience
The Micros staff will be 6 coaches - 4 head coaches (usually with previous micros coaching experience) and 2 roaming assistants. Also, we will target a range of school years (Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior) and a range of high schools. We will have no more than 3 people in a given graduating class or given high school in the Micros coaching staff.
For candidates not chosen, there will be many opportunities during the season to work as paid coaches for clinics and team support. Please make sure to indicate your interest in the form below and we will reach out.
