Thank you for your interest in purchasing the BGC history book "TIMELESS". We are excited to share the story of how the Boys and Girls Clubs came to be the largest child and youth organization across Canada.
This history book has been in the making since 2000 and will reflect the history of the movement from 1900 to 2025
Did you know:
- That Saint John, NB was the very first Boys Club in Canada and can be traced back to 1892?
- The Rotary Club of Saint John were the original stewards of the Club and are still active supporters to this day?
- That the Playground Association supported the Girls Club which eventually melded the two clubs together to become Boys and Girls Club?
Because of these organizations coming together to improve the lives of the children and youth of Saint John, this sparked a national movement that now offer programs at 600 locations ACROSS CANADA! Way to go Saint John!
