Fairfax Transportation Comment Form
The Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) is tasked with prioritizing spending regional funds to pay for transportation improvements generated by HB2313 which Senator Surovell helped to pass in 2013.  These funds can only be spent in Northern Virginia.

Senator Scott Surovell is collecting comments relating to the NVTA's update of its Six Year Plan. The Senator will forward these comments to the NVTA for consideration. NVTA expects to allocate at least $500 million on projects in June.

All projects are scored on various objective metrics and then ranked based on relative benefit to the community versus cost.  The complete rankings for the projects and project descriptions can be found here:

Do you support under-grounding utilities on U.S. 1. in Fairfax County (Prince William County is already under-grounding all utilities on U.S. 1 in Prince William)? Fairfax County has the option to levy a utility tax up to $1 per month on all utility ratepayers to fund this project.
