Our Summer Reading Challenge for 2024 includes reading physical books or eBooks and listening to audiobooks. You will only need to register once, then join us each week for our programs and log redemptions.
By registering for Summer Reading, you are giving Rowlett Public Library permission to send you our monthly newsletter email. You may opt out at any time by choosing the unsubscribe option at the bottom of the email.
IMPORTANT DATES:
June 1: Summer Reading Kick-Off
July 4: Closed for Independence Day
July 25: Last day to claim prizes
July 27: Grand prizes announced
This year, you will need to bring your Reading Challenge Membership Card with you as proof of attendance to programs, to claim reading logs, and to collect prizes. You can collect these starting June 1 at our Summer Reading Kick-Off.
We will begin handing out reading logs on June 1. No more than 2 logs per person may be claimed each week, 1 max per day.
READING CHALLENGE:
Ages 0 to 3: Read 10 books
Ages 4 to 13: Pick One! Read 20 books or read 3 hours
Ages 14 to 17: Read 3 hours
Adults: Read 3 hours

Storytime: Ages 0 to 4
Little Champs: Ages 4 to 8
Masterminds: Ages 9 to 13
Tinker Tuesday: Ages 14 to Adult

Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Friday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
