IOP S26 Rolling Common Application 📋
Dear new and returning IOP members:

This is a rolling form to join the one of the IOP's open acceptance programs and coalitions. Although this form will save your responses automatically, we highly recommend that you record your answers on another document.

To learn more about our programs before applying, please check out the IOP Website for more information about our programs and opportunities. If you're not interested in specifically joining a program this semester, but would like to attend regular, open IOP programming, please consider selecting 'Member At-Large' or joining one of our identity based Coalitions.

Love,

Governance Lab (GovLab)
Governance Lab (GovLab) is a GovTech startup incubator. Over the course of the semester, startup teams meet for weekly workshops, receive mentorship from industry-specific experts, and hone their pitch presentations. Startups in any government-adjacent field – healthcare, law, education, energy, climate, biotechnology, civics, legislative affairs, procurement, transportation, cybersecurity, defense, campaigns, immigration, regulation, etc. – are welcome to apply. At the end of the semester, teams pitch to a panel of venture capitalists in competition for a fast track to Xfund’s $100k Xperiment Stake, including a 1-on-1, in-person pitch to Sam Altman.

GovLab is composed of two pieces: the teams of startup founders that make up the cohort and the executive board that runs the incubator. Startup teams must have at least one current Harvard-student founder from the College or any of the graduate schools. All interested startups are encouraged to apply. Executive board applicants do not need any past experience (in GovLab nor VC). All interested in the world of startups and venture capital are encouraged to apply.
Application Question (GovLab)
In 100 words or less, pitch your startup. What are you building? What problem are you solving? What gives you a unique edge to solve this problem? Who’s on your founding team?
