Info & Registration Form Barista Training

Hello, thank you for your interest in becoming a barista in NZ.

Join us for an immersive Espresso Barista Training experience in Nelson, New Zealand! Led by a seasoned industry professional with over a decade of expertise, this course is designed to equip you with the practical skills needed to excel in the vibrant coffee culture of New Zealand and/or Australia.

This training program is focused on learning the practical day-to-day skills of a barista in a cafe, coffee truck, or restaurant, alongside essential theoretical knowledge.

Our comprehensive 10-hour training program is spread across four sessions, with each session lasting two hours per week. Additionally, we will have a final session opening the cafe to hone your skills in a real-world setting

WHEN:
Sessions are scheduled based on mutual availability, with options available on
>> weekdays after 12.30pm (you must be available for ONE weekend morning at end of training for 'graduation day'), OR
>> weekend in the morning (normally 9.30am)

* IMPORTANT NOTES *
- With a maximum of 4 students per class, you'll receive personalized attention and guidance every step of the way. A class will need at least 3 students.

- Please note that certificates or credits are not provided by doing this training, however, by the end of the program, you'll be equipped with the practical skills and knowledge to impress any future employer.

- The greatest advantage of this training is that you'll be able to demonstrate to any employer that even if you don't have "much experience" or a certificate, you DO know what you're talking about and understand what it takes to make a good coffee, enabling you to work in any café environment. "Hands-on" experience is much more valuable than someone who claims to be a barista without the real knowledge of how to make a GOOD coffee.

- Once you complete the course, you'll be able to add to your CV that you have some experience as a barista: Barista Training. And I'm also happy to provide a reference on your resume as the owner of La Planta Cafe and Manager of Rust Kitchen.

Payment Method:
After registration, you will receive an email with the details to make a deposit of $150 to secure your spot (this is non-refundable). After that, you can pay the rest by bank transfer, cash, or EFTPOS before the 2nd day of training.
