Welcome to auditions for Child's Play @ Theatre III's show, The Great Race. You must be 16 or older as of April 28, 2026 to audition.

The production team and Theatre III believe in the importance of authentic representation, and are therefore specifically seeking AAPI actors to portray these characters.

You will receive a copy of your answers after you submit this form; that email is your confirmation of your time slot.

Performances will be Saturday, June 13, 2026 & Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11 a.m.
Sunday, June 14, 2026 & Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. We may add additional performances, which would be Saturdays June 13 & 20 at 2pm and Sundays June 14 & 21 at 11am.

Preliminary auditions are on Saturday, February 7, 1-5pm and Tuesday, February 10, 7-10pm in 60-minute time slots. If you are still interested in trying out in person and there are no slots available, email auditions@theatre3.org for options.

Video auditions will be accepted until Tuesday, February 5 at 6pm. To submit a video, upload your video to a publicly-accessible location, fill out this form, and email a link to the video to auditions@theatre3.org.

To prepare for auditions:

Review the audition materials, particularly the character descriptions.
Review audition monologues.

Callbacks, if needed, will be on Thursday, February 12, 7-10pm and will consist of movement and reading from the script. Note that callbacks are only in person and those who attend will have have a higher likelihood of being cast.

In the case of multiple people who are equally talented and appropriate for a role, Theatre III will give priority to anyone actively affiliated with the theatre. We also reserve the right to prioritize those who have had recent COVID boosters to minimize the risk of infection and transmission within our cast.
