Join us, Valise Noire Storytelling Theatre, to make a spectacular performance on Poole Quay. We will be creating a contemporary performance and are looking for 35 enthusiastic friendly and committed people who love to dance, act, move, sing, or simply walk and share the heritage of CARGO with audiences. We are looking for a range of abilities to join us and to bring your creativity into the making of this fabulous show.
We have The Queen Galadriel ship as part of our project, a beautiful old sailing boat which will arrive at The Great Quay with performers aboard. There will also be performers based on land to welcome the ship in to dock. We are having a specially made soundtrack to accompany the show and the unloading of CARGO; beautifully created light boxes.
Performers will join us as volunteers and will receive a selection of digital photographs of the event as a souvenir.
Depending on your role/part, you may be required to attend more or fewer hours on the rehearsal days, for example if you want to get involved but can only attend once or twice we can give a more simple role, or if you are interested in having a larger role you can join us for all or as many workshops as possible. In general we will be asking performers to attend all dates or as many as possible. If you are keen to take part but are unable to attend a workshop please talk with us and please do come to the first workshop on Saturday 8th April.
