This program, organized by Feather River Food Co-op, allows individuals who volunteer for select organizations around Plumas County to receive a discount at either of our store locations. Organizations that are aligned with our values and enlisted into this network are considered Partner Organizations and are able to offer these perks to their volunteers–this is a way to reward our amazing local volunteers for the valuable work they do. Once an organization in the volunteer network, anyone who volunteers for them would be eligible for a co-op store discount on a tier-based system.
This form is to be filled out by volunteers of any Partner Organizations, including Feather River Food Co-op itself, in order to track volunteer hours. Below is our tier system to better help understand this program. We will categorize volunteers into one of these tiers based on the responses of this form.
TIER SYSTEM:
Level 1 Volunteer: 1-3 hours per quarter (3 month period) - Co-op members receive a 15% off single-use coupon the following quarter, nonmembers receive a 10% off coupon. This benefit is eligible for co-op events/programs AND organizations enlisted in our volunteer network.
Level 2 Volunteer: 4+ hours per quarter - Co-op members receive a 25% off single-use coupon the following quarter, nonmembers receive a 20% off coupon. This benefit is eligible for co-op events/programs AND organizations enlisted in our volunteer network.
Level 3 Volunteer (Co-op Committee Volunteers, Service Provider, & Program Leaders): 2-4 hours per quarter on co-op related events and programs (i.e. Farmers Market Committee, Adopt-A-Highway, Co-op Community Garden, etc.). This could also include complimentary services provided to co-op employees (massage therapy, chiropractic, etc.) - Receives a 10% discount on every co-op shop the following quarter. This benefit is only eligible for co-op members who are completing ongoing projects for the co-op.
Level 4 Volunteer (Co-op Committee Volunteers, Service Provider, & Program Leaders): 5+ hours per quarter on co-op related events and programs (i.e. Farmers Market Committee, Adopt-A-Highway, Co-op Community Garden, etc.). This could also include complimentary services provided to co-op employees (massage therapy, chiropractic, etc.) - Receives a 15% discount on every co-op shop the following quarter. At the beginning of each quarter, each volunteer’s hours will be tallied up and categorized into Level 1, 2, 3 or 4. For level 1 and 2 volunteers, coupons will be labeled with the volunteers’ names and mailed/delivered to their corresponding organization – the organization will be responsible for distributing coupons to volunteers. For level 3 and 4 volunteers, their discounts will be added directly to their membership profile and benefits will automatically be applied anytime they shop the following quarter.
