NOMA - Teaching Math Ideas with Intention
In this learning session, participants will have a chance to hear from and work with Dr. Marian Small. Together, we'll explore the power of questioning: What does it look like to focus math instruction on ideas, and how can we be more intentional in bringing those ideas to our students? What kinds of questions do you ask to see what aspects of those ideas students are seeing? This session will be aimed at K-8 teachers, however it will also be applicable for grade 9-10 teachers.
NOTE: THIS IS A SPECIAL TWO-PART SESSION
Session 1 will be Tuesday, November 13 from 4-5pm
Session 2 will be Thursday, November 29 from 4-5pm
All are welcome!
NOMA members are FREE. Other participants are asked to bring a toonie to participate. You are welcome to join any hub location (see question below). Registering helps us to have a seat ready for you, and lets us update you with any last minute venue changes or other information.
